CABC Thornleigh has a range of communities you can join to get involved with our church!
Small groups are where real faith meets everyday life. In these gatherings, whether in someone’s lounge room or at church, we open the Bible, pray, and share our lives honestly. It’s in these smaller settings that we encourage one another to live out God’s Word and show His love in practical ways.
Groups vary in size, location, and a mix of life stages. Whether you’re exploring faith or have been following Jesus for years, you’ll find people who will walk alongside you through life’s joys and challenges.
Various times and locations throughout the week
Adults of all ages and life stages are welcome
PLUS (our young adults ministry) is for those in the post-high school, pre-full-time work season of life, whether at university, TAFE, in an apprenticeship, or doing further study or training.
We meet weekly to open the Bible, pray, worship, and share life together. Alongside our regular Bible studies, we have social nights, prayer and worship evenings, and opportunities to serve in the wider church and community. PLUS is a space to grow as disciples of Jesus and be equipped to share His love wherever God has placed you.
Wednesdays, 7:30pm – 10:00pm at the Side Hall
Young Adults who are in early years of adults life welcome.
Theophilus Youth Fellowship (TYF) is our youth group for all high schoolers. Theophilus means “loved by God,” and that’s at the heart of what we do – helping every young person know they are deeply loved by God and encouraging them to live in response to His love.
Friday nights are a mix of games, music, Bible studies, and social events in a safe and welcoming environment. Our aim is to help young people discover who Jesus is, grow in their faith, and live it out at school, at home, and beyond. TYF is open to both committed Christians and those exploring faith. We also run an annual camp and other special events throughout the year, providing great opportunities to invite friends and build deeper connections.
Fridays, 7:30pm – 10:00pm at Church
High School Students (Years 7 – 12) are welcome
Our Children’s Ministry runs at both 9 am and 11 am, with age-appropriate classes from preschool to Year 6. Each week, children engage with the Bible through teaching, songs, craft, and interactive activities designed to help them know and love Jesus.
We are committed to providing a safe environment for every child. All our leaders have valid Working With Children Checks, have completed Creating Safe Spaces training, and serve under our Safe Church Policy. Parents can have peace of mind knowing their children are cared for by dedicated and trained leaders while they participate in Sunday worship.

Jesus Club is a fortnightly gathering for adults with intellectual disabilities. We enjoy singing, craft, games, and learning from the Bible in a way that is clear, engaging, and easy to understand.
Family members and carers are welcome. Many find it an enjoyable time to meet others and share in the community. Our aim is to help each person know that they are valued, loved by God, and part of His family, while also building friendships that extend beyond Monday nights.
